About Us
SLK Ballet School was founded in 2010 by Sara Knight as a year-round professional training program to enable students to train with a flexible schedule and supportive environment.
NEW FOR 2026
SLK Ballet School now partners with Holston Academy to provide Online Education for their Dancers.
Under the direction of Sara Knight and faculty, students study classical ballet, pointe, repertoire, partnering, character, contemporary, jazz, floor barre, pilates, stretch, yoga, and more. SLK Ballet students also have multiple performing opportunities with our partner company Chevalier Ballet, as well as outreach workshops in schools, hospitals and care facilities.
SLK Ballet's syllabus is Vaganova based, also incorporating English, French and Danish techniques. The school year runs September - May. There are also additional programs in New York, England and France.
Over the years SLK Ballet School has run exchange programs with: the Central School of Ballet, Masters of Ballet, and English National Ballet School, in London, England. Select advanced students have been granted the opportunity to study at these prestigious ballet academies.
